I woke up early this morning after listening to the rain during the night and I thought I made a mistake by not canceling the hike. The rain did stop as predicted but it was foggy.

As 18 hikers made their way towards Clarksville we could see the sun behind the fog.  So it finally lifted but as we turned off Hwy 7 to the Throne we were surrounded by heavy thick fog. At the beginning of the hike there are lots of beautiful views that the first timers on this trail did not get to see. We were so happy the fog lifted before we got to the Throne. It is always fun helping first timers up the crevice to Sam's Throne. We had perfect weather while eating our lunch & exploring the top. The views on top of Sam's Throne are so beautiful. It turned out to be a great hiking day.
