With a forecast of rain, fifteen TrailBlazers headed to Mt Nebo to hike the rim trail.

We met at the parking lot and headed to Sunrise Point. Although the sky was cloudy, the view from the mountain was spectacular.  We made our way around the mountain enjoying the view, getting acquainted with new hikers and catching up with hiking friends after the summer break. We stopped at our usual lunch spot on the Visitors Center porch.  While there we checked radar and saw the rain was fast approaching, so we headed to the cars and drove to Gene’s cabin to enjoy root beer floats.  Thanks Gene for leading the hike, telling us several interesting historical facts about Mt Nebo and treating us to floats.
