This 440-foot bluff overlooks the Buffalo River. It is a strenuous 5.5 mile round trip to the ledge where there are lots of interesting rock formations and great views of the river valley. Going in is easy but coming out requires a 1,000 foot elevation gain in 2.75 miles - not steep enough for switchbacks, just a continuous uphill trek. But the view from the bluff is so worth it! Please sign up if you plan to go. Bring lunch and water. Becky is hike leader.
Meet at Cloverleaf Plaza parking lot in Van Buren to carpool/caravan. We will leave at 8 AM.
