Nineteen hikers showed up on a foggy morning to hike Pedestal Rocks loop trails.

The fog lifted as we traveled Hwy 123 revealing a sunny, blue sky. The morning was perfect! Cool temps and a slight breeze were just what we needed after a wet Friday. The water was running at Kings Bluff Falls. Not a lot, but enough to make a pretty sight.

We next hiked the Pedestal Rocks Loop. I don't know why, but it seems like that 2 mile trail is more like 4... just sayin'.  The sun was bright and the trees were still green, for the most part.  Maybe another 7 to 10 days will bring out Mother Nature's paint brush. The trek below the bluffs was a treat for the seven newbies as well as for those of us who have been there a dozen times or more. It is an interesting world down under.

We finished with a stop by Haw Creek Falls. The water was flowing, making a beautiful sound and bringing an end to a perfect day.
