The mild weather brought out a large group of TrailBlazers to hike to Hawksbill Crag and Kings River Falls.

As we traveled up the Pig Trail, it was cloudy and foggy.  Cave Mountain Road was wet and very muddy in places. Since the last time we were at Hawksbill, parking spaces have been built along the road and there is a sign warning parkers to not block the road. In the past when we have gone to the Crag in October, there could be at least 100 cars parked all along the road. When we reached the Crag, we had it pretty much to ourselves.  But, after eating lunch and picture taking, we met many hikers coming in as we hiked out.  We left to drive back along muddy Cave Mountain Road to Kings River Falls. Using directions from Google Maps, we found ourselves on a very narrow road that soon turned into a muddy mess.  Fearing getting stuck if we proceeded, we managed to all get turned around and back to Cave Mountain Road.  We drove to Red Star and followed the signs to the parking area at Kings River.  There was lots of water standing along the trail.  The falls were flowing nicely and provided great picture taking opportunities.
