Sixteen made the drive to the Ozarks for the final scheduled hike of the season.

We hiked the Ozark Highland Trail from Lick Branch to the Marinoni Scenic Area. It was a great day for a hike with pleasant temperatures and overcast sky at the start. After crossing the creek, we started up the hill which seemed to last for miles. The trail didn't disappoint with the beauty of the dogwoods, magnolia blossoms, wild azaleas, spring flowers, and little waterfalls  and creeks winding their way through the woods and rock formations. We had several who were on their first hike to the Marinoni and were impressed with the variety of scenery in the area.  Today's pollen count must have been in the extreme numbers as there was lots of sneezing going on.

After lunching at the waterfall in the Marinoni Scenic Area, ten hikers continued on the Ozark Highland Trail to the cutoff to Indian Creek while the others trekked back to the vehicles and met up with them for the return home.
