Twenty TrailBlazers took a break from shopping and other Christmas preparations and met at Judge Parker's Courtroom parking lot for a Sunday afternoon walk along the river.

The walk began in the historic area of Belle Point where there are still remnants and foundations of barracks built in the 1800s. The trail goes under the Arkansas River Bridge, passes by the amphitheater and follows the Arkansas River.  The trail is paved for a mile or so and then is gravel and continues on for several miles.  Walkers and bikers share the trail.  On the way back, we walked pass the historic commissary building, courthouse and gallows.
